Shopify dog products store for the US market
The entrepreneur was already selling on Wildberries and decided to test the international market. We selected the region, niche, products and supplier, developed Shopify store and prepared the project for launch in the USA.
- USA market
- Dropshipping model
- Shopify platform
- 3 weeks launch
Customer experience and purpose
The client is already engaged in a commodity business and sells on Wildberries. The next task was to test sales on the international market through our own online store, without being tied to the Russian marketplace.
At the start, there was no chosen region, niche or supplier for the international direction. Therefore, the project began not with website development, but with market analysis and product model.
Where did we start?
Market, niche and supplier first
- Market We analyzed the options and chose the USA as the region for the first test.
- Niche We compared several product lines and settled on products for dogs.
- Products We formed an assortment for the first launch.
- Supplier We selected a supplier with suitable conditions and delivery within the USA within 5–8 days.
- Unit economics We assessed prices, product costs, delivery and potential margins before developing the store.
The store began to be assembled only after a working product model had been assembled for the new market.
What did you do to launch?
- Shopify We developed an online store in English for the US market.
- Catalog We prepared products, cards, images and store structure.
- Payments We set up card acceptance via Stripe and withdrawal via Payoneer.
- Delivery We set up delivery conditions taking into account the selected supplier.
- Analytics We connected Yandex Metrica and Meta Pixel for advertising tracking.
- Mobile We adapted the path from viewing a product to checkout for smartphones.
- Handover We prepared instructions for working with orders and the store.
How the store works
- Catalog Products in a general grid with filters: toys, feeders, gadgets and accessories.
- Order tracking Status page by order number - the buyer sees where the package is.
- Blog Articles about product care and selection: additional content inside the store.
- Contacts and support Form, mail and chat so that a US buyer can ask a question.
How the store looks
Logo and domain are hidden in screenshots by agreement with the client.
